• Camera Access & Photos Taken:
  • Purpose: When you use the instant photo identification feature, we require access to your device camera. Photos taken are transmitted to our AI recognition servers to analyze features and return plant names, family species, and care tips.
  • Commitment: Captured photos are strictly used for plant recognition algorithms. We never use your photos for facial recognition or any unrelated purposes.
• Photo Library Access:
  • Purpose: When you choose to upload an existing plant photo from your gallery, we read only the specific image(s) you select.
  • Commitment: We only access images you explicitly choose and upload. We will never scan or read unrelated photos in your library.
• Location Data (Optional):
  • Purpose: With your permission, we may collect your approximate or precise location. This helps us refine identification accuracy based on regional climate/season and recommend native plants or relevant care guides for your area.
• Account & Registration Data (If Applicable):
  • If you choose to log in via "Sign in with Apple" or email, we collect a unique User ID, email address, and display name to sync your identification history and collection records across devices.
• Device & Diagnostic Data:
  • We may collect device model, iOS system version, App version, IP address, and crash logs. This data is collected in an anonymized/aggregated manner purely for system diagnostics, bug fixes, and performance optimizations.

2. iOS System Permissions Requested

During operation, the App may request the following system permissions on your iOS device:

You can manage or withdraw these permissions at any time in your iOS device via Settings -> Privacy & Security. Disabling permissions may prevent specific features (like taking photos) from functioning, but won't block basic use of the App.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. To provide cloud AI plant recognition and analytics services, we may share essential, anonymized data with trusted third-party providers:

• AI Image Recognition Providers: Uploaded plant photos are sent via encrypted connections to secure AI processing endpoints. Associated personal identifiers are stripped prior to processing.
• Analytics Services: We may use tools like Apple App Analytics to aggregate anonymous usage trends and crash diagnostics.

4. Data Security and Retention

• Security Measures: We employ industry-standard security safeguards (including HTTPS encryption in transit and strict access controls) to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or alteration.
• Retention: We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. When you delete your account or identification history, we remove or anonymize your data accordingly.

5. Your Rights & Account Deletion

Under applicable privacy laws, you have the right to:

• Access & Export: View your plant identification history and saved favorites within the App at any time.
• Revoke Permissions: Manage camera, photo library, or location permissions through iOS System Settings.
• Account Deletion: If you created an account, you can permanently delete it and all associated data within the App by navigating to Settings -> Account & Security -> Delete Account. Account deletion is permanent and irreversible.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or local legal minimum age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided us with personal information, we will take immediate steps to delete such data from our servers.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. Any modifications will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notices or pop-ups.
