Terms of Use

1. Introduction

Welcome to SnapLo! These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern your access to and use of the mobile application, websites, and services (the "Services") provided by SnapLo. SnapLo is a location-sharing app that lets you share your real-time location with friends you invite and see them on a map, and it also includes an optional reverse image search tool. By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use our Services.

We may update these Terms from time to time, and any changes will be effective upon posting the revised version. It is your responsibility to review these Terms periodically to stay informed of any updates.

2. License Grant

SnapLo grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Services for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. You may not reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the Services.

Any commercial use of the Services, including reselling or redistributing content or results, is prohibited unless explicitly authorized by SnapLo.

3. Location Sharing

SnapLo lets you share your real-time location with friends you connect with. To connect, one person shares an invitation code (valid for 2 days) and the other enters it; sharing the code means you agree to connect and share your location with that person. Once connected, you and that friend can see each other's location on the map.

Important Safety Notice: Location sharing is intended for consensual sharing between people who know and trust each other. Only share your invitation code with people you trust, and only connect with people who agree to share with you. You must not use SnapLo to track, monitor, stalk, or harass anyone. You can stop sharing, block a friend's location, or remove a connection at any time; when a connection is removed, both people can no longer see each other's location.

4. Reverse Image Search

SnapLo also includes an optional reverse image search tool. When you select or capture an image and agree to search, SnapLo transmits that image to third-party image search providers to perform a reverse image search, then displays the matching public web pages and sources. Before your image is sent, SnapLo shows an in-app notice that explains what is sent and to which providers and asks for your agreement. Results are provided on an "as is" basis.

The image search only aggregates information that is already publicly available on the web. It does not build a facial recognition database, does not detect faces, does not extract or store facial features, and does not train models on your images. Images are used only for a single search and are not stored on our servers.

5. Acceptable Use and Your Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the images you upload and for how you use the Services and their results. You agree to use the Services lawfully, responsibly, and in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws.

Important Safety Notice: You must not use the Services to harass, stalk, monitor, intimidate, defame, or otherwise violate the privacy or rights of any person. You must not use the Services to identify or locate individuals against their will or for any unlawful purpose. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and search any image you submit.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to engage in any of the following activities:

Using the Services for illegal, harmful, abusive, deceptive, or fraudulent purposes.
Using the Services to harass, stalk, monitor, dox, or otherwise violate the privacy or rights of any individual.
Uploading images that you do not have the right to use, or that infringe the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.
Uploading unlawful, harmful, or otherwise objectionable content, including content depicting minors in any inappropriate manner.
Distributing malware or viruses, or engaging in activities that compromise the security of the Services.
Attempting to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Services or connected systems, or scraping or overloading the Services.

7. Accuracy and No Reliance

Search results are drawn from public web sources and third-party search providers. SnapLo does not verify, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, or relevance of any result, including any identity information, description, or source. You must not rely on results for any decision that could affect a person's rights, safety, employment, or legal standing. Any conclusions you draw from the Services are your own responsibility.

8. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the Services at any time, without notice, for any breach of these Terms or suspected misuse. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Services, and any licenses granted to you under these Terms will immediately terminate.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Services will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any errors will be corrected. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

Warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement of third-party rights.
Warranties regarding the accuracy, reliability, or availability of search results or third-party services.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall SnapLo or its affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill arising from your use of or inability to use the Services, or from your reliance on any search result. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from the use of the Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the Services in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Data Protection and Privacy

We handle your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information on how we process images and search data.

12. User Guarantees

By using the Services, you guarantee that:

You have the right to upload and search any image you submit.
You will not use the Services to infringe the rights of others or to violate any person's privacy.
You will not engage in fraudulent, harassing, or unlawful activities.
You will comply with all applicable laws in your use of the Services.

13. Subscriptions and Payments

SnapLo offers an optional premium subscription that unlocks additional features. By subscribing, you agree to the following:

Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions are offered on a weekly or yearly auto-renewing basis, and a one-time lifetime purchase may also be available.
Introductory pricing: An introductory price may apply to your first billing period (for example, a lower price for the first week). After the introductory period, the subscription automatically renews at the standard price unless you cancel.
Auto-renewal: Your subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
Managing your subscription: You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings after purchase.
Refunds: Purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with the App Store terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or update these Terms at any time. If any significant changes are made, we will notify you through the app or other means. Your continued use of the Services after the update constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
